For me it is my first edition as editor and a merging of two passions.
While the other boys and girls dreamed of becoming firefighters and vets, when I grew up, I wanted to be a wedding dress designer.
I think I can blame watching The Parent Trap on repeat for that.
That childhood dream faded and I turned to journalism but I’ve always had a soft spot for weddings.
My Year 8 textiles teacher will be glad to hear the closest I’ll ever get to designing a gown is organising a bride and groom photoshoot — get prepared to be blown away with what our creative team has put together.
You’ll also find 14 real weddings including our cover couple Sarah Terry and Alistair Jacka.
Each time a submission lands in my inbox I get a little excited.
I love hearing your stories, pouring over the photos and getting to share them with our readers.
We have also put together a guide to hosting a wedding at home like Georgia Odgers and Tom Vibert.
Or if you’re looking for something further afield there's our destination wedding feature.
Jessica Ball - editor
P.S. After you’ve used our new plan your dream wedding don’t forget to submit it for a chance to be
featured. You'll find the submission form here.
